Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Hebbix ("we", "our", "us"), including hebbix.app and the Hebbix application (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Hebbix is an educational platform that provides curated book summaries, quizzes, real-world scenarios, an AI mentor, and other learning tools focused on finance, business, and economics.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hebbix. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Hebbix offers a free tier and one or more paid tiers (collectively, "Hebbix Pro"). Subscriptions renew automatically on the billing cycle you selected unless cancelled before the next renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't use Hebbix for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or republish the summaries or other content in the Service.
• Don't probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission.
• Don't use the AI mentor to generate content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Educational content; no advice

Hebbix is provided for educational and informational purposes only. The summaries, scenarios, quizzes, and AI mentor responses are not personalized financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice and should not be relied on as such. You are solely responsible for the financial decisions you make. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on any information you encounter on the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The Hebbix name, logo, summaries, scenarios, and software are owned by Hebbix and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial educational purposes.

8. Affiliate links

Hebbix is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We may earn commissions when you click a book link on Hebbix and make a qualifying purchase. This does not change the price you pay or our editorial choices. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

9. Third-party content

The Service may link to third-party websites, products, or services we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEBBIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your conduct could harm us or other users.

13. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may change the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Delaware.
